It was code named Unit 731. It was a biological research facility in use from WWII till the end of Vietnam and likely after that, if you've ever done some reading or seen some films or documentaries then you'll know that American, South Vietnamese, and even some European POWs where held in Communist Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia under cover of inaccessible terrain and vegetation. In these camps unspeakable atrocities were committed with no inconvenience from the outside oblivious world.
